Natural Simplicity in the Kitchen & Breakfast Area

Clean lines and a crisp white color palette might give this new kitchen a modern feel, but it’s the wood elements that define the depth and soul of the space. What was once a dark and crowded space has become a bright and efficient kitchen. From the underlit open shelves and integrated cabinet pulls to the lovely grain in the custom oak range hood, the natural wood stands out beautifully.

A new, custom round window spread across the kitchen and breakfast areas let in tons of natural light and frame the natural views that our clients love so much. On the floor, terracotta tile throughout the space helps ground the white walls, cabinetry, and ½-inch Corian countertops as it blends with the tones in the wood.

To help with storage and flow between spaces, a wall of custom floor-to-ceiling cabinets and shelves sits in the dining area without detracting from the breathtaking view. Some of these cabinets even have some hidden treasures, like a custom coffee station with a sleek Corian top.

Bringing the Outside In

In the living room, a modern, black brick fireplace surrounded with granite hearth is stunning in its simplicity, playing off of the dark-framed windows and railings, while still allowing the natural view to take its place as the true focus of the space. A custom fabricated steel and oak firewood rack helps spread sophistication and warmth around the room, adding an interesting textural element which compliments the serene exterior views.

Just outside, the existing wooden deck and fence are now fully visible through the wall of windows, connecting the interior and exterior spaces.
